When a comic creator commits to something like this it's a hell of risk. I turned down work-for-hire all last year and spent my life savings writing and drawing Chrome Roses, because I wanted to make something truly special. So, for you to believe in it, and back it with your own hard-earned cash, really means a hell of a lot to me.
I've been working on more pages as the campaign's progressed, and I'll be working faster and harder on these books right up to the delivery date this summer. We hit a higher total than I was anticipating, so I can add a couple more cool things to the Chrome Roses universe. I'm also talking to some world-famous comic artists about getting an extra story added to Book 2. It's very exciting.
Thanks to you, we can make this series just as I dreamed all those years ago when I wrote down the very first synopsis. What an absolute honour.
Now, for the last two weeks I've found the comic community a very supportive place. So, I'll hope you'll join me in supporting all the other brilliant creators who are realising their dream projects via KS.

IMPOSSIBLE JONES Vol 2 ULTRA-COOL COLLECTORS EDITION!
Let me shine a light on one of the other great comics on here. As a pro writer/artist I truly appreciate a REALLY WELL TOLD AND ORIGINAL story - it's one of the reasons people keep coming back to Death Sentence beyond the visual hook - and you won't find anything better or more fun than IMPOSSIBLE JONES! I like to share the work of others because I know how much love goes into a creator owned comic or book..
I really like the effort and attention to detail in Haunted Tower by Thane Frederick Benson.
It's a choose your own adventure story. In this book, you are Quick the Clockwork Knight and must rely on your wits, your courage, and your puzzle-solving ability to make the right decisions that will lead you through this adventure to its ultimate conclusion.

Next, I'd like to hit all the stretch goals and get you some cool extra stuff. But we're not going to do that unless you share the project.

It was heartening to see all the supportive messages about the comic when it launched. When I think of all the awful things that happened last year, and how down I was after the car crash, it's genuinely inspiring to read how much people love the artwork and the new world I've built here.
I absolutely love designing characters and worlds. It was the most fun part of creating Death Sentence, and I loved doing it all again for this Chrome Roses story. A lot of the great dialogue, and each character's personality, springs from these initial sketch and design sessions. I scribble little bursts of conversation down and then, a couple of days later, if some of it makes me laugh or it seems emotive and realistic, I'll work that up into a scene. And from those scenes emerges the script.
The longer I've been making comics and writing stories the more I've realized everything is about great character moments. It all has to unfold naturally but you need to make room for these wonderful moments to play out naturally. All the plotting and artwork in the world can't top that.
